ProximaRide Cancellation Policy
At ProximaRide, we are committed to maintaining a fair and reliable experience for both passengers and drivers. To ensure that all parties involved are treated with respect, we have outlined our cancellation policies clearly.
Passenger Standard Cancellation Policy
If a passenger wishes to cancel their ride, the following conditions apply based on the timing of the cancellation:

Passenger Firm (Nonrefundable) Cancellation Policy
If a passenger cancels a ride that has the "Firm" cancellation policy, no refund will be provided. The entire booking price will go to the driver.
What is the “Firm” Cancellation Policy?
Under the "Firm" cancellation policy, the booking price and the booking fee are non-refundable, effective immediately upon booking (for Instant Booking) or once the booking is confirmed (for Request to Book), regardless of the ride's departure time.
Benefits of the “Firm” Cancellation Policy?
• Benefits to the passenger: A 10% discount is applied to the booking price automatically at checkout. For example, if the booking price is $50, the passenger will only pay $45. This discount encourages passengers to book only if they are 100% sure they will take the ride.
• Benefits to the driver: Drivers are protected from last-minute cancellations. When a driver posts a ride with the Firm cancellation policy, they offer a 10% discount on the booking price to benefit from greater protection against cancellations.
Driver Cancellation Policy
If a driver cancels a trip, the passenger is entitled to a full refund of the booking price and the booking fee. ProximaRide enforces strict penalties for drivers who cancel without a valid reason. We expect drivers to honor their commitments to passengers.
Canceling a Trip
We understand that unforeseen circumstances may force a driver to cancel a trip. In such cases, the driver must immediately inform the passengers and provide a valid reason for the cancellation. The driver is obligated to provide a full refund to all passengers for the booking price and the booking fee. To minimize inconvenience, cancellations should be made with as much notice as possible.
Drivers are allowed two cancellations per three-month period. Any additional cancellations within the same period will be subject to a thorough review and potential penalties.
• Weather or health-related cancellations will not count against the allowance.
